horns of wilmington's cow

Ratty

Another day another dollar another lunchtime wander to Princes Street Gardens. But this time armed with the 500mm lens. Good job too, the place was teeming with life (links below - including a Waxwing, which was quite some height up, it's the one cropped image). Anyway, I spotted this Rat in a bin, and sat down on some railing across the path (me, not the rat) waiting to see if it would reappear. The wee birds buzzing about, and multitudinous squirrels meant I wasn't staring at nothing the whole time. Had a chat with a workman about the rats and wildlife photography in general while waiting. All quite pleasant really.

No news on the job, but I didn't expect any today. The end of the week is more likely.
