Mount Jefferson and Deschutes River Fog

I have made several early morning trips to a place overlooking the gorge where the Deschutes River passes northward and eastward on its way to the Columbia River.

The quest for an image of the Deschutes River's fog filling the canyon in which the river flows has continued for over a month now. As the weather becomes consistently colder the fog produced seems less and less.

I think that today's photo is as good as I will get this year.

I like this image for the line of fog marking the river in the distance, the road leading down into the gorge, and up the canyon wall the roadbed for the old narrow gauge railroad is also visible.
