this luminous life.

Zuka, Our New Houseguest.

My husband and I should become foster parents for pets. Our home has been opened up to several pets in the past month: two other cats (for a week), a dog (for two weeks), and now Zuka, indefinitely (a few months). Our sweet kitten has been incredibly patient and kind with all the guests. He's still getting used to our bearded dragon and spends hours staring at it, but the little guy is safe in its habitat.

Zuka was very cranky the first two days we had her and would not step away from the corner she was hiding in. I had to bring her food to her. She's also taken a liking to pooping on the floor. I moved her little box to the corner of the dining room, but am hoping to move it back to where it should be as she gets more comfortable. Now, she loves to be curled up in the chair and begs for attention. Such a change from the hissing, growling cat we first met!
