After

Even at noon, the shadows are long. Perhaps because of the bare branches, there's more light everywhere. It streams in through the windows, not just direct sunlight, but that reflected off other glass buildings. I have my morning cup of coffee with me and I'm looking out at cars passing by and people walking. It's the everyday, but it's fascinating. I am reminded of the time when I was very young and for a few brief months had to take a train to school. I'd stand by the window, holding the bars. Looking out was always entertaining.

The temperature and light inside is perfect. We have guests over for lunch, lots of fun conversation and good food follow. In the evening, we walk and run.
