Virgin de Guadalupe Procession - Numero Tres

I have been obsessed with the Virgin de Guadalupe processions that are taking place here in Zihuatanejo (actually throughout all of Mexico) the past few days. It is amazing to see the efforts these groups go through to ensure they are well represented during this very special time. Tonight was the last of the processions leading to tomorrow's fiesta. There are so many good people photos that I couldn't decide on a single image, so I placed a selection of my favorites here. This image shows two groups heading up one of the main streets toward the church blocking traffic the entire time. The shrines always lead the way and many times the marchers are accompanied by an "ompa band" and young men shooting off fireworks. The combination of sight and sound is something we are very happy to experience firsthand.
