Simon's Wood

I didn't have to be a the hospital until the afternoon so I pulled on my welly boots, wrapped up in scarves, jumpers and gloves and set off on a wintery walk around Simon's Wood.

It was, as always, beautiful. I've been lucky enough to grow up with lots of long walks around the woods, so being there is sort of like revisiting childhood memories - huge games of hide and seek, bent over trees we used to sit in, logs we'd try and balance on and the Rhododendron bushes which used to be our dens.

I'm already looking forward to our Boxing day walk around the lake; it'll probably be frosty and frozen by then so I'll be able to bore you with more pictures!
