First snow of Winter

After an accident at home on Tuesday morning, ending in a trip to A&E and 6 stitches in the underside of my foot (a long and haplessly clumsy story), I returned to work today.

Mrs R drove me into work after the school run, as I thought excessive walking and pressure on the pedals in the car might be painful.

The school run was slightly more precarious than usual due to a covering of snow and ice in our part of Sheffield. The council putting "the wrong type of grit down" as the snow wasn't forecast. I remained in the car and watched as parents and children slipped and slid into school.
