Power-cut

Another! That's twice in 3 days, only affecting the block between Constitution St, Queen Charlotte St, Bernard Street and the Shore.
I was just warming the oven (electric) in anticipation of Meles' return from Gateshead, and I had made the batter for a Toad-in-the-hole, when it all went dark.
I lit a christmassy candle, which was lying on a handy bookshelf. I put on a head-torch, and returned to perusing one of my favourite books: Finders, Keepers. Text by Stephen Jay Gould, Photography by Rosamond Wolff Purcell.
I had not looked at it for a couple of years. Splendid thing. I was put in mind of it by the illustrations in a book just published in Aberdeen, featuring an essay by Talpa.
A Cabinet of Curiosities, indeed...
