Jaws

You've seen a few images of the demolition of the Siemon Building at the University of Canterbury.

Monday - Another Day

And today Jaws is still munching it's way through all that steel and concrete. It was pretty grim, more like winter than summer and despite the persistent drizzle and jet of water (that is no where near the action, so what's the point?) I was liberally coated in dust and grit. No wonder one of the neighbours complains.

I'm intrigued to learn the likely concrete mix used was a left over from the construction of the Clyde Dam in the '60s. Think big!

Work doo straight after work. We harvested our spuds but the weather was grotty, the light poor and I was cold so no photo of my spuds. A better than average yield but no one bettered Colleen's effort yesterday.
