Laid - at last!

I could tell you the colour of Jonathan Ross' bedroom carpet, or the preferred choice of shag for the Duke of Westminster. For I have seen pictorial evidence on John the Layer's phone.

Finally, after 7 weeks, my cottage is my own again. I have a damp proof course, a new kitchen, the downstairs has been decorated and today the carpet was laid - yep, just the carpet.

The upside is that I can now focus on Christmas preparations.

The downside is that I have to sort all the junk really useful stuff that is currently clogging up the spare bedroom, as I intend to keep the living room as minimalist as possible for a hoarder like me.
