Trains delayed due to breakdown; so rather than freeze on the platform, I took a stroll across the Liffey to the Christmas Market in the Financial Services Center.

Hard to believe from the picture that you're actually standing in the middle of the former dock. The original plan was for there to be a pontoon to put exhibitions, etc on.

That is until some genius in the planning department asked "what happens if all the people go and stand on one side at the same time?" The amount of ballast they were insisting on meant the pontoon would have sunk first! Could have asked wouldn't we be better off without the idiots who all stand on the same side!

So we have this little escape from our financial woe, situated right in the middle of the idiots who caused it!
