Schools Out

26months (2years 61days)

What a busy, but fun packed day, madam has had. We started out with a flying visit to tea and toast, which she loved, before I took her to nursery for their Christmas Dinner. She wasnt too amused when she realised "Christmas dinner with your friends" meant nursery, but before I even left she was sticking and gluing a sparkly party hat.

When I arrived back for her, the toddlers and babies were all in the baby room, most of them asleep. Katie was playing "music" with pots and pans. They said she'd had a really briliant time, that she'd got into the whole "party vibe" more than most of the little ones. She ate her Christmas dinner up nicely, but rejected the trifle. I was quite concerned until I heard that they pretty much all did, so I dont know what was wrong with it!

As we leave nursery, she runs down the winding path, through the trees and often squirrels, to the big gate. Today, she did it swinging her first calendar she's made. Kindly, once she had done it, she decided to run back up and do it again, giving me time to get the camera. She's off now until 9th January because of the bankholidays.

After nursery, I took her iceskating. Normally, she starts off in shoes but today she wanted her skates on straight away. She went the width of the rink, moving herself, still holding my hands. The lady came to say well done to her and she got really upset! She did a couple more widths, then seemed to remember being upset again. Even worse when the lady came back to say it again! But she did so well the time she was skating.

Last stop of the day was a coffee with a friend, plus exchanging of Christmas presents and helping them find a few bits, before I brought my tired little Katie home. She is now snoring loudly.
