MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

'Twas the night before Christmas
when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring,
not even a mouse;

This wonderful little book by Clement C Moore comes out every Christmas and sits on the mantlepiece. It measures 8.5cm by 7cm and contains the poem titled " A Visit from St. Nicholas " which was first published on December 23rd 1823. My late husband Douglas used to read this poem to the children every Christmas - they loved it.

I have had a quiet day today just tidying up and sorting out. Had phone calls from my daughter and brother which was nice.
