Christmas Day

Merry Christmas everyone!!

We woke to a lovely summers day, blue sky and gentle breeze, casual dress for the a day with family and friends. The table above was a late morning tea/lunch,  time spent with our dear friends who we've known since our children met at playcentre. We went to music tots together, learnt musical instruments together, attended the same schools and the kids - now young adults, all keep in touch even though they've gone seperate ways - its tradition we have a Christmas catch-up but not always on Christmas day. It was great to hear the different stories from the kids and their plans for the year ahead - such a special time for all of us as its now differcult to get everyone together in one spot at one time.

Our late afternoon was spent with my Mum and stepfather R who came to our house to share a kiwi bbq tea. We've eaten, chatted, laughed and shared so much - also such a special time.

We've had phone calls from my brother, Hubby's parents and Hubby's brother and have thought of them often throughout the course of the day.

Tomorrow we will be up bright and early, not as early as 4am though, as Daughter A flies back to Wellington to work being Boxing Day sales. Its been great to have her home and I've spent alot of time with her and unfortunately less time on blip, but its been another special time.

Thank you to everyone who have popped in, thanks for your lovely words so warm and friendly over the last few days, they mean so much through these unsettling times. Until time and my eyes allow me I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and for those on holiday Happy Holidays, enjoy the festive season and take care :)

Nite all - Christmas Day is drawing to an end :)
