Izzy & Great-Grandad

Great-Grandad is very dear to all of us. He shall be ninety years old next year and has dementia. Izzy, by contrast, is two years old, and has a different medical condition. We all spent today at my Mum's house (thank you so much Mum and Dad for all of your hard work), and Izzy and Great-Grandad both coped incredibly well. Despite the expected episodes of confusion and tiredness from each of them, they spent many special moments playing silly games or simply sitting quietly together.

Lulu and Izzy are so precious, and I feel so grateful that they have been able to spend a lovely day with their extended family who love them so much; not all children are so fortunate.
