Boxing Day

... is Scrabble Day!

Yesterday, we brought my mother to our house for the day; today, we went to hers. Mr PicturePoems cooked us a lovely lunch and then we played Scrabble. Here are my daughter-in-law and son awaiting their turn, while my mother takes hers.

On the wall over the fireplace are two more of my late father's tapestries: one of the Humber Bridge at night that he designed and worked when the bridge was new, and the other of Brigg, Lincolnshire, where I was born and grew up.

You can find out how and why my father came to do tapestries if you click on this link.

(Did you spot the big box of choccies in the centre of the picture? Can't beat Thornton's! Nom nom nom.)
