Snow and a kite...........

The weather up and down the country today has been horrible, horrible, horrible! Snow has brought traffic to a halt, caused numerous accidents and closed roads. The temperatures have taken a monumental dive all over the place......

...and here in Nelson the snow was lower on the mountains than we've seen it in years, the temperature has been way down and there's been a bit of wind that's cut through us all like a knife. But compared to other places we've been let off pretty lightly. For a good while this morning the sun shone and things looked just beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

On the drive into town I stopped to blip the snowy Western ranges behind Tahuna beach and found this young family enjoying some great kite flying weather. There's nothing like a bit of fun and actvity to keep you warm!!

Hope everyone in NZ is hunkered down infront of a roaring fire ready to enjoy the AB's and the Springboks. I'll bet the players get cold in this game!!
