Another year over...

Hello there.

So all the presents are unwrapped and put away; we've all been eating turkey sandwiches for lunch and the shops have started their sales (if they hadn't already). All this build up over weeks and months for one day almost sounds mad yet we keep doing it every year.

But we forget this isn't what Christmas is about. My sister got this balloon in our church's Christmas Day Family Service yesterday. Although it's a little deflated a day later it still reflects the important Christmas message - Jesus came to Earth out of Heaven to live among us and save humankind. And we shouldn't forget this now that December 25th 2011 has passed and we too are feeling a little flat. Christ is for life not just for Christmas.
