We're Having Waffles

We went out to visit friends today and I got to try fresh waffles for the first time. I think the only time I'd seen a waffle grill before was on the Simpsons. We had them with whipped cream and a cherry compote thing and they were very tasty.

There was also icing sugar that you could use to dredge them. This was a Total Hit with the 4 year old daughter of one of our friends. She discovered that if you breathe out hard through your nose you can make clouds of icing sugar.

It was not a total suprise that this happened more than once. Still, she was so happy with the discovery, it would have taken a harder heart than mine not to laugh too.

Today's Blip is of a little tower on a posh house. I like the roof tiles and the verdigris and the little Jugendstil decoration under the window. I'll have to go back to this part of town in better light.
