That'll be a "Little Egret" to you my viewer.....!!

This white beauty was the brightest thing i saw while i was over at Farlington marshes this morning.

Go on, view him Large.........

When i arrived at around 8-50 this morning the tide was out and it was very dark, with threatening skies and a constant spit of rain, by 9-15, we're talking totally wet camera, and almost stair rods of rain............

Packed the camera away, but decided to have a walk along the footpath anyway, what is it they say "Drips don't get wetter, they just get bigger"..........

There was obviously today's blip, Robin's, Blackbirds, curlews, redshank, various geese, ducks, including Teal and Wigeon............and far away in the distance at the waters edge there must have been a gazillion small waders of different types.........

There were also a couple of predators hovering in the distance, but they were so far away i couldn't make out what they were.

The forecast looks quite promising for tomorrow so i'll probably have a second visit tomorrow.

One thing i've learn't over the last 6 months is that, there may be plenty of birds in an area, but it doesn't mean you're going to get a shot of them. They all seem to be armed with that bloody radar which puts them 10meters to far away to get a decent shot of them..........ggrrrrrrr..!!

Have a good evening......!!

John.

PS, Anyone up for the Nature / Wildlife challenge in January......??
