Crocus pestalozzae

One of the smallest species crocus in flower today.

Crocus pestalozzae hails from NW Turkey where it grows in rocky and grassy places in the mountains. It is very hardy but being so small it is rarely grown in UK gardens. A potful makes a great display in a cold greenhouse or Alpine House .... I'll show you more another day :-)
