Bike ride

Headed out with The Lurker from Reading into rural Berks for a wander on the bikes. So some pretty hills, unfeasibly expensive houses (lottery win doesn't go far down here), bridle ways where people with horses churn up your bike path and I find a rather lovely bridge over the M4. It wasn't too long after this that whilst near the incredibly posh school at Bradfield (now forever lodged in my head as the James Dean Bradfield Secondary Modern) that I got a puncture. We tried this foam malarkey in a can after finding the shard of flint that had sliced the tyre and inner. Sounded great but it definitely doesn't do what it says on the tin. A couple of miles later we were back at it with the conventional patch and I managed to nurse the bike home. It was a rather good run though the extended pit stops meant there wasn't time for a refuelling stop at The Cunning Man. Still there was Hobgoblin in the house.....

Nice roast pork dinner with loads of crackling later, and finished off The Lurkers XO.... nice.
