The Rail Bridge

For the last few years, we have been going for lunch at The Rail Bridge in South Queensferry on New Year's Day. Today, we had 14 of the family there which was great. Our friends that we were hosting last night/this morning were two tables away and my hairdresser who I saw just yesterday was at the next table!

Food was lovely (soup, steak pie and sticky toffee pudding), the view out towards - funnily enough - the Rail Bridge was stunning as always and it is great to see it without the white tarpaulin covering it. The sun was even out for the first time in a week!

I took this shot whilst we were waiting for the table to be made ready, only got a few minutes but figured I would need to get it a 2pm as was dark by time we left at 4:30pm.

Have eaten far too much, but no change from any other Xmas and New Year. Detox starts tomorrow. Well, maybe Wednesday....
