2012 Year Of The Wickerman

Escaped The Veelage quite early on New Years Day heading out for traditional cobweb blowing walk, decided on a 5 mile trip near <a href="http://www.auchencairn.org.uk/">Auchencairn</a>:, turned out to be mainly picking my steps through a quagmire, up to my ankles in it on several occasions but a pleasant walk through woods, along side a wee loch and then some nice views across the Solway, could only see as far as the multitude of wind turbines out in the middle so no sight of snow capped Cumbrian mountain tops.

The car park where I left the old Citroen was chokka, never met so many people out on a New Year's Day, mind you this was not The Back Hill Of The Bush.

Had a shandy in The Smugglers before heading home but could not resist stopping at the site of the Wickerman Festival for a couple of pics of the Wickerman that does not get burned.

A pretty quiet blast along the 75 then back to The Veelage for an evenings telly.
