Bulls for sale

One of these young bulls will hopefully be sold this year to run with a dairy herd to produce beef calves. We shall keep the other to carry on the pedigree breeding of our Herefords (we have a Simmental bull with them at the moment to produce Hereford cross beef calves). Another bull we shall fatten and sell since he has been lame and he may have a fertility problem. All the Hereford bulls are living next door to each other quite happily since they are well away from the cows and the two younger ones have grown up together.

Out to lunch at a pub today to meet A and J - we usually meet every six weeks. We havn't heard from the young travellers - no news is usually good news. Let's hope they have safely reached the Alps!
