Birthday Tulips

These lovely flowers arrived on my doorstep sometime between 4pm and 7.30 when the postman!?! delivered my new trainers and noticed them nestling beside the buggy. They are from Vive la Vie for my birthday. Thank you very much they are lovely, even more so as the house looks bare due to removal of Christmas decorations.

We had a William and Mummy day today. Once Carys was safely at school we quickly went to Stevenage to return Daddy's suit to M&S as a) it didn't fit and b) he didn't like it. He is very fussy particular about what he wears to work which can't really be said for what he wears at home.

Then it was playtime. William explored the new look conservatory and seemed to approve, he spent a lot of time generally emptying the carefully filled drawers and telling me he had made a mess. Joy.

Swimming went really, really well. He happily used the woggle for about a third of the lesson, used his arma and legs really well and blew his bubbles. Sadly he forgot to remove his mouth from the water when breathing in, repeatedly. All was fine until the last minute, when he vomited as only William can. Luckily as it was so projectile it basically (thankfully) went into the drain and down his front. No need to shut the pool, phew. But it did mean he had to shower, cue screaming as he didnt want to get in and screaming because once in didn't want to get out. Sometimes you just can't win.

Back home we played Snap. Daddy and Will have played Snap a lot since Christmas, but neither realised that the pack has 10 cards missing. Doh! Will be going to ELC tomorrow to see if they can explain that one. Will did all the wooden jigsaws and all the card two piece jigsaws and then it school time.

Had to go to the shoe shop as the insoles in Carys' shoes have worn through and I don't think that we have had them long enough for that to have happened. They agreed to ring Startrite to see what they say and freely gave us some cork insoles to put in to protect Carys' socks and toes. Having said all that she'll need new ones soon as she is in the growing room area, but I don't want to spend £40 until it is really necessary. It would also nessecitate new trainers x2, new plimsolls, new out of school shoes. Not yet I think.

Now off to watch Location, Location with Phil and Kirstie without the usual glass of wine. Boo!
