Bower bird

About a week ago I set up a feeder tray on my verandah, mainly for the blackbird mother so she wouldn't think too badly of me for being so thoughtless as to go in and out of my front door now and again, right next to her nest.
She gave it not a glance and it sat there, offering all sorts of tempting items, untouched by bird, possum, rat... nobody was interested until today, when the bower birds heard about it. They scoffed the lot in about five minutes.

This is a female (the dark beak suggests probably not an immature male). I'd like it to have been sharper and you can't see the eye colour, which is a rich, dark, purple/blue. However, if nothing else, it is a great shot of how 'Historic' my verandah is becoming.
