Winter sun

A bit of winter afternoon sunshine as the spaniel and I walked through the wooded valley on the common. I've been pretending for weeks now that my strained knee was going to get better. The GP told me yesterday that it wasn't and that I probably will need surgery. So I'm now waiting to see an orthopaedic surgeon and hoping that a drastic intervention won't be necessary. I shall savour my spaniel walks even more, just in case they get suspended for a while.
