Turnstone

Not a good day photographically speaking.
I was brighter earlier in the day but the tide was out and the birds were all far away. By the time the tide had pushed the birds closer, the clouds had thickened and the sun was nowhere to be seen, but obviously well on its way to bed.

That meant cranking the ISO up to its max (1600) and at widest aperture, only able to manage 1/160 sec at full zoom (840mm equiv)

There were turnstones and a few purple sandpipers + a solitary rock pipit. This is the best of about 50 shots. Not much chance trying the same tomorrow as the tide will be an hour later still.
