City Patterns

Went downtown to the Central Library today for a preview lecture of next week's Seattle Opera production of Verdi's Attila. Rarely performed, no one in this audience had ever seen it, so we are looking forward to a new visual and listening treat. Had a few downtown city shots but decided to go with this pretty abstract of the refections on the overhang of the library - just for the patterns - I sometimes get the urge to make a painting.....not hard edged, but with marks....
Tonight we are out for an art lecture at the Fyre Art Museum on "Paradise." Will report (maybe). It's great to live so close to so many opportunities in this city. (but it's sometimes overwhelming to me...)

And if anyone has gotten this far and missed my blip from yesterday - there is a wonderful link there to a really fine talented filmmaker/animator, if that interests you!
