Museo de Arte Costarricense

This landmark building is the Costa Rican Art Museum.

In it's previous incarnation this was the International Airport.

There's something quite charming and nostalgic about this building - and having watched Pan Am on TV recently it's easy to imagine the more adventurous traveller from the mid 20th Century flying in.

What used to be the runway is now La Sabana Metropolitan Park.

I'm leaving Costa Rica tomorrow from a terminal that's a little more modern but way more clinical looking.
