Another day, another colour

Very productive day today. I've finished the Taekwon Do website and (fingers crossed) afte some extensive testing I'll upload it tonight.

Productive day for Roz too, she helped MAddy re-dye her hair, with the orange dye left in a bit longer this time, then started work on a feast. We had Roz's mum out for a curry session tonight so Roz made Tamatar Gosht, North Indian Garlic Chilli Paneer and Aloo Channa for main courses, for a starter we had onion bhajis and chilli paneer samosas, then for pudding we had chocolate walnut samosas. Out of all that the only bit which wasn't home mede from scratch was the Chilli paneer samosas.

All I had to help with was the pudding. Since there's already been interest on facebook I'll share the technique here.

Get some samosa skins/parties from a good asian supermarket. and brush the edges with milk o they'll seal fold them as directed on the pack to make pockets.

Chop some walnuts and mik them with dark chocolate in a bowl then put it over a pan of boiling water to melt the chocolate and mix through well.

Fill the samosa pockets and fold over the remaining flap making sure the edges and especially the corners are sealed really well.

Deep fry in clean oil on a low heat until they start to go golden, drain them and put them on some kitchen towell to remove excess oil then dust with icing sugar and serve with ice cream.
