Time warp

Not the most interesting blip today I know, but for some reason this terrace amazes me. It always transports me back to the Eighties. The windows. The colours. The signage. It's all there.

'Equity Insurance Services' states on one of the smaller window panes that they specialise in 'motor insurance'. I have an image of a couple of brokers sat at desks puffing away on Rothman's while typing up certificates for Cortina Mark IVs and Austin Allegros with one rejecting an application for a 17 year old kid to be insured on his Dad's turbo-charged 2.1 litre Audi Quattro.

One day they'll update the sign and I'll stop having these thoughts as I walk past in a daydream...
