Silver

"He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver" Malachi 3:3

A silversmith will sit and hold an impure piece of silver in the centre of the flame where it is hottest until all the blemishes have gone. He never takes his eyes off the piece of silver or it would perish. How does he know the silver is pure? He can see his image when he looks at it and knows his work is complete. Remind you of anyone? Our heavenly Father who sometimes sends hardship our way in order to cleanse and mould us. Never to spite us.

This is a lovely anecdote I heard this morning about the Father.
