A Plumbers Wife!

Red Squirrel

Today started out with a trip to the butty van for a sausage butty and a steaming cup of tea, before we embarked on the trip to Liverpool to see the tall ships.

No problems getting into town, because we didn't go on the tourist route, but the queue to get into Wellington Dock where all the big ships are was about one and a half hours wait time. I'm not one for waiting, so we buggered off. However, I did take a couple of snaps - one of this chap looking equally as impressed with the concept of queuing, and one of these 3 geezers on bikes.

We drove back through Crosby, stopped to get a couple of bottles of Irn Bru - parked in a back street and was taken with the old red phone box and the lovely ginnel.

Decided to go to Formby Point, as we were close by, hence the red squirrel. He was a friendly wee thing, so managed to get quite a few shots of him, which you can see from here.

We went for a long walk, and I managed to capture some very co-operative bumblebees.

Finally, managed to get some lovely shots of Corin on the dunes, without him knowing!!!!

All in all a lovely afternoon- the weather stayed dry, although it was blowing a bloody gale on the dunes - Sand everywhere (sand makes a good time grate!)
