Pastel Sky

There was a hard frost overnight (hard enough that I managed to snap my scraper trying to clear a windscreen).

But the clear skies meant there was steam coming off the cars outside as the frost melted (probably too hard to see on here).

Bags (formally known as daughter) found her heating was not working this morning but had her friendly plumber/fitter call round first thing.
It turned out it was air in the system.
He showed me how to sort it using a short length of copper wire to release a valve which wasn't doing its job properly.
It is not being changed though because the version cannot be activated the same way and would have to be replaced when it fails (which it will seemingly).

My sister has given the Cygnet a rather natty sheepskin suit which he got the opertunity to wear when we nipped out to the shops.

The speaker at the camera club this evening was really good.
He was from the Royal Commision on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland of which I new nothing.
If you have any interest in buildings or monuments (or are looking for something along these lines to photograph in Scotland - have a look at their website ..... or call in to their offices in Edinburgh.
