Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

A weird day

It's Tuesday-our day to spend with Fiona. We were ready to go get her this morning, but all the weather reports were predicting a big snow starting at noon today (it was totally clear-no snow,-no ice where we live, just cold and grey) plus she was sick (again!) with a virus and diarrhea as was her sister who wasn't going to go to school (starting 2 hours late because of the "weather") so their Dad decided it wasn't worth it today -he'd keep them.

And guess what, at almost exactly noon, it started to snow! And turned to rain and stopped in about 20 min! Blue sky appeared. Disappointment. We were looking forward to seeing the brand new sea otter at the Aquarium. So it was a short walk, and a little more bike time with another Downton episode and work at home. And a trip to the UW tonight for a too academic (lecture (the role Art can play in the world...) .It's cold clear and dry out. But those weather guys haven't given up --maybe tomorrow? If we have to walk to the Opera House tho, we will do it! - we have tickets to Attila! It is amazing how the upcoming storm can dominate the news - and then not happen....

Oh, this is a garden wall I love that I pass in our neighborhood nearby --doesn't look so urban, does it? And not like winter either... .:-) And it's not Fiona......
