Muddy Adventures!

Identity Crisis

Meet Boots! He and his brother Noddy are my pet pygmy goats. They used to live in the Orchard next to our house but they kept climbing trees and then jumping down on to car bonnets to escape.
So we gave them a little shelter in a field with sheep next to the garden. This was several years ago. People said they wouldn't thrive that way as they can't withstand harsh weather. Well, someone forgot to tell Noddy & Boots that as I can't remember when I last saw them use their shelter. The quite simply believe they are sheep, although superior sheep at that. They can get in and out of any field they wish, she wiggle their way out, wander down to the feed clamps, fill up and then potter off back to their chosen field. They remain with us through choice which I think makes them a pretty special pet. They've shown many times that if they wanted to go off across the fen and live wild they could but they always head back into a field with sheep. They aren't quite as tame as they used to be, I can't walk them on leads anymore, but they will come to me for food and cuddles.

The ponies tolerate them, until they try and pinch their dinner, then all hell breaks loose.
