Flash is bad for orchids

A difficult day for blips, working till early afternoon, grey and wet later, and meetings all evening. I just had time to snatch this shot of an orchid at my mother-in-law's residential home. There are flowers from their greenhouses throughout the winter. My mother-in-law's mobility is very limited now, so the plants mean a lot to her.

In the room lighting the orchid had a creamy yellow colour, but it was too dim for a sharp picture. With flash the petals are white, and no amount of playing with the colour balance fixes that.
