Dragon auspicious & unpredictable

Monday 23rd January will see the start of the year of the Dragon. The Dragon which while being the most auspicious of all of the animals in the Chinese zodiac is also notoriously unpredictable.

In China, Chinese New Year is often interchangeably referred to as Spring Festival. Here in Shenzhen it certainly feels like spring, 20 Celsius today, in Beijing it's freezing cold!

So, how do you say happy new year in Mandarin Chinese?
"Xin nian kuai le!"

By the way, I deliberately added the cheesy sparkle and blurring...
here, the kitschier the better!
