Fastnacht Madness

Today they started with the fund raising for this year's Fastnacht/Rosenmontag/Karneval stuff. This involved, as you can see, various grown-ups in varying amounts of costume dancing in streets of a rather wet and unpleasant Wiesbaden.

It may have been wet and unpleasant but if you had seen the vigour with which some people joined in the dancing and the smiles on the faces of the people dancing and watching the dancing, the weather would not have been of any importance to you either. It's quite something to see that connection and that amount of happiness. Quite life affirming.
