The View From Ossian's Hall

Backblip - due to having a fun day out with mum, wife and daughter and when I did sit down for the first time today at 10pm, planning to post my blip, I fell asleep and woke up after midnight.

Drive up to Perth for lunch and then it was on to Dunkeld. As we left the restaurant, the torrential rain we had encountered on the way to Perth, caught up with us as we arrived in Dunkeld. Got soaked laying flowers at Gran and Di's headstone in the cemetery. But this didnt stop us heading up for a walk in The Hermitage - which could well be one of my favourite places anywhere in the world.

It has taken quite a battering with the recent storms, with loads of fallen trees including some of the huge ones that have been there for years and years and years. Some are blocking paths, some are lying in the river and the upturned roots of these trees are about three times the height of Robs!

Even with all the waterproof stuff, it wasn't a day for photos. The light was fading fast at 3pm, and the spray off the waterfall was making some of the shots look like Bokeh! This was one of the few I got, the view from Ossian's Hall. We couldn't go much further than this as some of the paths have been blocked for safety reasons.

Drive home, Dunfermline won!!, and then on to Culross for dinner at the Red Lion Inn, a great wee place which I would highly recommend. A great menu but a rarely go for anything other than the Sizzler Sirloin. I think the walking and food combo may have been the cause of me falling asleep early!
