No Domestic Goddess...

My wee ray of sunshine...

He's got a smile that would melt the iciest icebergs...

...and a scream that could shatter glass... ;-)

A great day today. I was in the gym for a Body Pump class at 10am (on a Sunday morning - I know - mental!), then home again for some relaxation and lunch, then off to the sports centre again with the kids to take them swimming.

Swimming turned out to be a major high-point - wee C finally found her confidence in bucket-loads, as she realised that even if she puts her head under the water, it doesn't mean she'll drown. This very quickly lead to her floating and bobbing away, head totally under the water, and then swimming unaided (other than a pair of goggles!) for about a two-thirds of the width of the pool. I was so proud of her - she really came on in leaps and bounds in the space of an hour in the pool. By the very end she'd mastered swimming on her back too! She didn't want to leave and is demanding we go back next weekend. Which of course we will.

Wee D has no fear in the pool. He's very independent and doesn't want to be 'helped' at all - we have to make sure he has his floaty-vest on or he'd be paddling along at the bottom of the pool! The floaty-vest is pretty rubbish though, it keeps riding up round his neck, so I think I'm going to look for a back-float instead, hopefully it'll help hold him in the water the right way.
