Looks Good To Me

For the MacGregors

The MacGregor family's rented Bellingham home caught fire early in the early hours of New Year's Day. Jennifer and Joseph and their two daughters -- Summer, 13, and Willow, 10 -- are in a Seattle hospital being treated for burns and smoke inhalation. All the MacGregors' belongings were destroyed by the fire. The daughters have medical insurance but both parents are uninsured.

Friends and neighbors have already collected $20,000 to help the family, and held a fundraising event today at the Blue Horse art gallery/cafe. Music for dancing was provided by Boys Makin' Noise, and Bellingham Firefighters Pipes and Drums made a different kind of noise. Both groups were enthusiastically applauded.

Cynthia enjoys seeing men in kilts -- here's an earlier blip of her posing with the pipe band.

We had a good time doing our dueling cameras routine. See her take on the event. Since she included a still life, I felt compelled to counter with this juxtaposition of a painting and sculpture that caught my eye.
