Winter dance

Not much choice of photos today because I set out with the camera and the battery ran out after half a dozen shots. This was the second to last one. I didn't achieve what I wanted, but I like the way the vines look like strange dancing (or maybe fighting) figures with their arms raised to the sky. It's also strangely similar to chaiselongue's blip for today! Like hers, you can see how stony and unforgiving the earth is -- and yet in summer these bare, twisted stumps will be a mass of green leaves.
