Learning day by day

More Swans

What a day. In the middle of Music Train for a reason known only to himself William had a complete melt down! I had to leave the lesson and after a battle to get him in the car seat, take him home. The meltdown continued for 45minutes until he suddenly decided he needed a sleep, but that sleep had to be in the car, not in his bed and definately not on the sofa but in the car! That had been my plan on the way back from MT but hewas so wound up it just didn't happen. Thankfully it did on the second attempt.

The meltdown occured when Twinkle Twinkle was played quite loudly through the sound system. I have no idea whether it was association of the song with going on his back at swimming (which he hates) that set him off or it was just too loud for him. Either way I hope the teacher isn't planning that particular activity again.

The swans were taken on the way to MT having been to the shoe shop to check W's shoes aren't too big. They aren't, but that doesn't explain why he regularly falls flat on his face when wearing them, but doesn't do the tumbling act in his wellies or trainers that are half a size smaller? The swans obviously thought we had food somewhere in the buggy and were coming towards us at a great speed, so I only got the chance of one shot before grabbing Will and legging it for the safety of the road.
