Smells like... HMS Victory!

We got this souvenir of the great British Navy ship HMS Victory when we visited England in 2004. St. Paul's Cathedral gift shop was selling bits as fundraisers so we thought it was pretty neat. Cheap, too. Only 3 or 4 pounds. I was concerned about authenticity but I asked various authorities and they all said yes to that - including the ship's caretakers. They are indeed from the ship. They regularly replace worn or damaged bits and pieces. All get cut up into wee bits and mounted as you see. A piece the size of an average adult arm can yield upwards of 500 slices so at 2 pounds profit per that's 1,000 towards the ships maintenance and continued historical service. We did not get to see the ship herself then but on the next trip it is in the plans.
