Tree- dwelling Rooster

It has been freezing overnight- and the park's pygmy chickens have moved into to the trees to escape from the cold ground. The ditches were beginning to freeze and the mallards were diving and frollicking in the water like mad, as if they felt it could be the last time for quite a while.

The weather forecast tells us it's going to be -6° (21,2F) tonight. The first blackbird for months dropped in on my balcony today, eagerly feeding on the raisins I've put out for them. My feeder had been abondoned after some new neighbours had the shrubs in front of the house cut down. You bet I stuffed the feeder with fresh supplies!

Have a lovely time :-)
