TFP's Theory of Laundry Sorting...

It's official, I have turned into a housework geek.

The one part of laundry that I really find awful is the sorting out after it dried coming out of the washing machine. Over the last 2 days I've formulated a system to make the whole thing easier and completed in minimum amount of effort.

TFP's theory of laundry sorting and storing laundry is based creating a relationship between the clothes and they're final storage place.

You have a big pile of washing on the bed, ready to be sorted. Generally clothes for specific people will be stored in the same room but not necessarily in the same place.

For each room to which clothes must go, a pile of clothes must be made but the pile is not assembled until all the washing is folded into smaller piles corresponding to the final storage place be it a wardrobe or drawer or whatever.

For each room, the smaller storage based piles are combined. These piles can then be taken to each room and easily sorted into their storage medium in the minimum amount of drawer/wardrobe opens and closes.

Maximum efficiency, minimum effort.
