Reflections

I work in leicester city centre and this building is the new John Lewis in the also new Shires extension which will be known as Highcross. The pattern on the glass was taken from an old hosiery design...Leicester was a thriving hosiery city up untill the mid 90`s...and consists of a layer of plain glass, 1 of mirrored glass, 1 of the patterned and then another plain glass. The whole frontage will be lit with an array of colour controlled by computer throughout the day and evening..should look pretty impressive. The builder in the bottom left is standing inside the glass bridge which will link JL with the multi-storey car-park which is seen in the reflection.
